Whole Wheat Rolls
Whole Wheat Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 3/4 c. boiling water, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 c. cold water and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Pour boiling water over sugar and shortening. Add cold water and beaten eggs. When cool, add yeast, salt and flour (small amount at a time), stirring well. Let rise 3 hours. Make into rolls (let rise 2 more hours) or store in refrigerator until ready to use. You can make all rolls out at once and freeze. They freeze well. DO NOT CROWD TOO CLOSE IN PAN WHEN BAKING. Bake at 400Β° until brown and done.
