Whole Wheat Bread
Whole Wheat Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. warm water (108~), 1 1/2 tbsp. yeast, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. oil and 4 c. whole wheat flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
In a large bowl, combine water, yeast and sugar.
Let rest 15 minutes.
Stir in crushed Vitamin C, 1/2 flour, oil and salt.
Stir until batter is smooth.
Add flour until it can't be stirred, then knead by hand until remainder of flour is used up.
Knead until dough has the consistency of bubble gum.
Let rise until doubled; punch down.
Form into 2 or 3 loaves.
Place into greased loaf pans.
Let rise.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes.
Cool before slicing.
