White Bread
White Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. scalded milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 4 tbsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 3 c. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine first four ingredients.
Put in the cold water. Soften yeast in the warm water.
Mix all together then start adding the flour.
I usually add half and stir it in and keep adding flour until it is getting hard to do.
Put on floured board and knead for about five minutes.
If it sticks to board, add more flour.
Put in large greased container and let it rise until double in bulk.
Punch down and let rise again.
