Warm Potato Salad
Warm Potato Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 medium onions, sliced, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. vinegar and 2 tbsp. vegetable shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Boil the potatoes in their jackets.
Peel and slice fine in large salad bowl.
Saute the onions in shortening, being careful not to let them burn.
Add a little hot water and boil until tender.
Then add salt, sugar and vinegar and heat well.
Pour dressing over the potatoes.
Add chopped, hard-boiled eggs, if desired, to add flavor and nutritional value.
