Thermos Flask Lunch
Thermos Flask Lunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. well washed, yellow, split mung beans, 1/4 c. basmati rice, well washed, 1 1/2 c. assorted fresh vegetables, cut into small pieces, whole or ground spices to taste (salt and pepper, cumin, ginger, etc.) and 1 tbsp. ghee, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Briefly saute the spices in the ghee.
Add the mung bean dahl, rice and chopped vegetables.
Cover with the water and simmer for 5 minutes.
While still boiling hot, quickly pour the mixture into a one-liter or one-quart thermos.
Close the thermos quickly and leave it closed for about 4 hours.
The meal will cook and be ready to eat after 4 hours in the thermos.
