Swiss Pot Roast
Swiss Pot Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. pot roast, 2 tbsp. oil, 1 lb. sliced mushrooms, 3 sliced onions and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Brown roast in oil
12-inch Dutch oven.
Add mushrooms, onions and spices. Place on oven and bake for 1 hour with 6 coals below and 12 coals above.
At the end of 1 hour add the apple juice and turn meat. Bake for an additional 2 1/2 hours. When done remove everything from the oven except the juice. Pour milk into juice.
Mix flour and water and stir into Dutch oven.
Heat to boiling (3 to 5 minutes) to thicken gravy.
