Swiss Meat Loaf
Swiss Meat Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef, 1 egg, 1/4 c. evaporated milk, 1 tsp. rubbed sage and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Beat egg in a large bowl.
Add evaporated milk, sage, salt and pepper and mix.
Add beef and crumbs, 1/2 cup of the cheese and the onion; blend.
Form into a loaf and place in 2-quart rectangular baking dish.
Arrange bacon pieces on top.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of cheese on top and bake 10 minutes longer.
