Sweetbread
Sweetbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 eggs, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. salt, 1 tbsp. vanilla and 1/2 lb. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Beat eggs until light.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla.
Melt butter in milk.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add to first mixture.
Add yeast and mix well.
Add flour and knead well about 1/2 hour.
Let raise until double in bulk, punch down and let raise again.
Brush top with milk after shaping into two loaves.
Bake at 325Β° for one hour or more.
