Sweet-Sour Carrot Slices
Sweet-Sour Carrot Slices is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. carrots, 3/4 c. sugar, 3/4 c. tarragon vinegar, 1 tbsp. mustard seed and 2 1/2-inch stick cinnamon, broken (or ground cinnamon to taste), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Peel and cut carrots into 1/4-inch slices.
Cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Drain, saving 3/4 cup.
Add this water to sugar, vinegar and mustard seed.
Add carrots and bring to boil.
(Tie spices in a bag, I use a tea ball.)
Simmer 10 minutes.
Chill in "fridge." Drain before serving.
