Sweet and Sour Sauce
Sweet And Sour Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. prepared mustard, 1/2 c. crushed undrained pineapple, 1/4 c. white wine vinegar and 1 tsp. ground ginger, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine sugar and vinegar in small pan.
Cook over medium heat. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves, remove from heat.
Stir in mustard, ginger and pineapples.
Combine cornstarch and juice; blend well.
Gradually stir into hot mixture (stir constantly) over medium heat until smooth and thick.
Makes approximately 1 1/2 cups.
