Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Sweet And Sour Meatballs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. breadcrumbs, 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck, 1 c. milk, 1 medium onion, chopped and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix breadcrumbs, milk, ground chuck, onions and egg.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Form into 1 inch balls and brown in small amount of oil; drain.
Combine butter, gingersnaps, brown sugar and pineapple juice.
Simmer 30 minutes until thick and smooth, stirring occasionally.
Pour sauce over meatballs and simmer 5 minutes.
Spoon into chafing dish over candle.
Put pineapple chunks, if desired.
Yields 30 to 40 meatballs.
