"Sugar's" Sweet Potato Rolls
"Sugar'S" Sweet Potato Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cooked sweet potatoes, mashed, 3 tbsp. butter, 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1/2 c. warm water and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Blend together the potatoes and butter.
Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup warm water, then add to the mashed potatoes.
Add egg, salt and sugar; blend together.
Sift flour and measure.
Add alternately with 3/4 cup warm water, stirring in each addition. Turn on well floured board and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl and cover.
Allow to rise for 2 hours.
Shape in balls and place in greased pans.
Brush top of rolls with melted butter and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
