Stuffed Green Peppers
Stuffed Green Peppers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 green peppers, 1/3 c. chopped onions, 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.), dash of pepper and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Remove tops of peppers; wash, clean and parboil.
Crumble and brown beef, sauteing onion at the same time.
Pour off any grease that accumulates, then add rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, mustard, water and Worcestershire sauce.
Stir to blend well. Cover and cook about 20 minutes over low heat.
Stuff peppers with mixture.
(Optional: Pour can of tomatoes over top of peppers). Top peppers with grated cheese and bake, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes at 350Β°.
