Stroganoff
Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. beef fillet, 1/2 lb. button mushrooms, 3 tbsp. cognac, 16 oz. fresh cream and 1/2 bottle tomato ketchup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cut the meat into strips and the mushrooms into thin slices.
Brown the meat in butter in a frying pan.
Pour the cognac over the meat and flamb.
Add salt and 1 teaspoon of paprika.
Return to the heat.
Add the mushrooms, the Worcestershire sauce, the ketchup and the fresh cream.
Stir well and leave uncovered on a low heat for 5 minutes, not more.
Serve with rice.
