Strawberry Bavarian
Strawberry Bavarian is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 pt. strawberries, 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin, 3/4 c. cold water, 1 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. almond extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Wash and hull the berries and save 3 or perfect ones for garnish.
Purée remaining berries in blender at low speed, then strain to remove seeds.
Sprinkle gelatin over water to soften. Bring 1/4 cup of strained strawberries and sugar to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Remove from heat and add gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
Add remaining purée and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
Chill, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Fold in whipped cream.
Turn into a 6-cup mold.
Chill until firm.
