Stir and Pat Biscuits
Stir And Pat Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. wheat or unbleached flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. soda, 1/3 c. vegetable oil and 2/3 c. buttermilk (or use plain milk plus 1 tsp. vinegar), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and soda in small bowl.
Pour oil and buttermilk into a measuring cup.
Do not stir.
Add all at once to flour mixture and stir until mixture cleans sides of bowl and mounds into a ball.
Pinch off walnut-sized ball and pat out flat onto greased pan.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 475Β°.
Makes 15 biscuits.
