Cut squash into small pieces.

Add onion and salt. Boil until tender and drain.

Now add eggs, pimientos and margarine to this mixture. (Can beat in mixer or blender.) Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole.

Make a layer of the squash mixture and then cheese and crackers.

(You can also mix all of this together.) Put squash on the top layer. When it begins to brown, put a covering of cheese and sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Bake 10 minutes more.
