Squash Au Gratin
Squash Au Gratin is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 to 2 lb. can yellow squash, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 1 c. grated cheddar cheese and 1 egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Wash and cook squash in salted water.
Drain and mash.
Saute onion, bell pepper and chestnuts in butter.
Combine cheese, squash, sugar, mayonnaise and egg.
Season with salt and pepper. Pour into greased casserole dish.
Top with crackers.
Cook for 30 minutes at 300Β°.
