Spoon Bread
Spoon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. boiling milk, 2/3 c. corn meal, 2 tbsp. mayonnaise, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 3 beaten egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Sift corn meal into boiling milk.
Stir constantly over low heat until milk and meal are just blended and thickened.
Beat in mayonnaise and salt.
Cool; don't chill.
Add beaten egg yolks and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Grease medium casserole in the bottom and part way up the sides.
Pour in mixture and bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes.
