Speedy Stroganoff
Speedy Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. round steak, cut 1/4-inch thick, 2/3 c. water, 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce, 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained and 1 envelope onion soup mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Trim fat from meat, reserving fat.
Cut meat in 1/4-inch thin strips, across grain.
Heat fat in skillet.
Remove trimmings when you have 3 tablespoons melted fat or add butter to make 3 tablespoons fat.
Quickly brown meat in the hot fat.
Add Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms.
Stir in soup mix and bring to a boil.
Blend sour cream and flour; stir in.
Cook and stir until heated through and slightly thick.
Serve over hot cooked noodles.
