Southern Pralines
Southern Pralines is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. light cream (1/2 c. whipping cream, unwhipped, and 1/2 c. milk), 1 1/2 tbsp. butter, 2 tsp. vanilla and 3/4 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Wet 3-quart saucepan with water to avoid sticking.
Combine sugar and soda in pan and mix well.
Stir in cream.
Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir to soft ball stage (234Β°).
Mixture caramelizes slightly as it cooks. Remove from heat and add butter.
Stir in pecans and vanilla. Beat until thick enough to drop from a spoon.
Drop from spoon onto foil.
