Southern Meat Loaf
Southern Meat Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 egg, beaten, 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. pepper and 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine egg, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, onion, green pepper, celery, mushrooms and garlic in a large bowl, mixing well.
Add ground beef; mix just until blended.
Shape into an 8 x 4-inch loaf and place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Combine catsup and water.
Spoon over loaf.
Bake an additional 1 hour or until done.
