Cream sugar and butter in a mixing bowl either with a mixer or by hand.
Add eggs, one at a time until well blended. Sift flour, soda, baking powder twice in a separate container before adding to mixture.
Add a little at a time to mixture until all is gone, then add sour cream and flavoring. If mixture is too you may add a little milk and blend until smooth.
