Sour Cream Apple Squares
Sour Cream Apple Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a large mixer bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and butter.
Blend on lowest speed of mixer.
Stir in nuts.
Measure 2 3/4 cups of dry mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan; spread evenly.
To remaining mixture in bowl, add baking soda, cinnamon and salt and blend thoroughly.
Add sour cream, egg and vanilla; blend well.
Stir in apples.
Spoon onto crumb mixture, then spread gently.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cut in squares.
Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
