Sharp Cheddar And Walnut Spread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes, at room temperature, 1/2 stick (4 tbsp.) unsalted butter, softened, 1/4 cup sour cream, 1/8 tsp. cayenne and 1/4 tsp. mace, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine cheese, butter, sour cream, Cayenne, mace and cooking wine in the container of a food processor, and whirl until mixture is smooth and creamy.
