Shannon's Cookies
Shannon'S Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven to 400Β°.
In large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
Add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
The dough will be very stiff; blend in last 3/4 cup flour by hand.
Do not chill dough.
Divide dough into two balls.
On a floured surface, roll each ball into a circle 12-inches in diameter and 1/8-inch thick.
Cut out cookie shapes, dipping cutters in flour before each use.
Bake cookies on top rack of oven for 6 to 7 minutes, until cookies are lightly browned. Cool completely on wire racks.
Frost and decorate as desired.
