Sesame Seed Sticks
Sesame Seed Sticks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter, 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. salt, 2 dashes cayenne pepper and ice water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cut butter into flour, mixed with salt and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle ice water over dough and toss with a fork until dough will hold together as for pastry.
Roll dough out on a floured board to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 1 x 3-inch strips.
Place on cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with sesame seed and bake at 325Β° for about 15 minutes.
Before removing from pan and while still hot, sprinkle with salt.
May be frozen.
Yields about 6 dozen.
