Scalloped Oysters
Scalloped Oysters is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 1/2 c. crushed saltine crackers, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted, 2 (12 oz.) containers fresh standard oysters (undrained), 1/8 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Brown cracker crumbs in butter; set aside.
Drain oysters, reserving 1/2 cup liquid.
Place 1/2 of crumbs in a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Add oysters, salt, pepper and parsley.
Cover with remaining cracker crumbs.
Combine half and half and reserved oyster liquid; pour over cracker crumbs. Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Yields 8 to 10 servings.
