Cook cabbage in a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Drain.
Add melted butter.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
Add milk and cook in oven until thickened (about 5 minutes).
Stir every minute.
In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, alternate layers of cabbage, white sauce and grated cheese.
Top with bread crumbs and paprika and bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
Turn dish 1/2 through baking time.
Serves 8.
