Sausage Gravy
Sausage Gravy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. ground pork sausage, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, 3 1/4 c. 1% low-fat or whole milk and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Brown sausage in skillet, stirring, until it crumbles.
Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings in skillet.
Set sausage aside. Add butter to drippings; heat over low heat until butter melts. Add flour, stirring until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in seasonings and sausage.
Cook until thoroughly heated, stirring.
Makes 3 3/4 cups.
