Sift regular flour, sugar, soda and salt 3 or 4 times.

Stir in whole wheat flour.

Cut margarine in until like fine crumbs. Beat eggs until frothy.

Mix with buttermilk and add gradually to dry ingredients.

Mix with fork until stiff dough is formed. Knead on floured board for 20 to 30 quick motions.

Divide into 2 balls.

Place well apart on greased cookie sheet.

Cut an "X" about 1/2-inch deep in top of each.

Bake at 400Β° for 45 to 50 minutes.

Let stand about 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Slice in thick slices.
