Rich n' Creamy Hot Chocolate
Rich N' Creamy Hot Chocolate is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. semi-sweet real chocolate chips, 1/2 c. sugar or fructose, 1/2 c. water, pinch of salt and 5 1/2 c. milk or soy milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

In 3-quart saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly.
Stir in sugar, water and salt.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk, until mixture comes to full boil (4 to 5 minutes).
Boil, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
Stir in milk and whipping cream.
Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through (12 to 15 minutes).
DO NOT BOIL.
Add vanilla.
Beat with wire whisk or rotary beater until frothy.
Pour into mugs.
If desired, add 1 to 2 tablespoons liqueur to each serving.
Top each serving with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
If desired, garnish with one of the following: grated chocolate, grated lemon peel, grated orange peel, cinnamon or nutmeg.
Makes 8 cups.
