Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice, 1/3 c. chopped onion, 1/3 c. chopped green pepper, 1 can tomato sauce and 1 tsp. cumin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Fry rice in cooking oil until brown. Add chopped onion and green pepper. Fry about 1 minute.
Grind cumin and garlic in a spice grinder. Add ground spices, tomato sauce and chicken broth along with 2 1/2 cups boiling water. When all is boiling, cover and lower heat to simmer. Do not stir after this point. Cook until tender. Add peas for color.
