Red Beans And Rice is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. dried red beans, 1 ham bone, 1 tbsp. dried green bell pepper flakes, 1 tbsp. dried minced onions and 2 tsp. seasoned salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Wash the beans.
Place them in a Dutch oven and cover with water.
Soak overnight.
Drain.
Add the ham bone and seasonings to the beans.
Add water to cover the beans.
Cook, partially covered, over medium-low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
Cook the rice, according to package directions, 30 minutes before serving.
Add the sliced sausage to the beans 20 minutes before.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over hot rice.
