Raspberry Cake
Raspberry Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, separated, 1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Beat margarine with electric mixer until creamy.
Gradually add sugar and beat until well blended.
Beat egg whites until stiff, set aside.
Beat egg yolks until thick.
Add to first mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition until smooth. Add vanilla, then fold in egg whites.
Divide evenly among 3 greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans.
Bake in preheated 450Β° oven about 10 minutes.
Turn out on racks to cool.
Spread filling and frosting between layers and on top.
