Beat eggs slightly and add pumpkin, sugar, salt and spices, mix well.
Add melted butter and milk stirring thoroughly.
Pour into uncooked pastry shells.
Bake in hot oven (400° to 425°) for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to moderate oven (350°) and continue to bake for 35 minutes or until the filling is "set" and crust is nicely browned.
Makes two 9-inch pies.
