Pull Later Taffy
Pull Later Taffy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 3/4 c. light corn syrup, 1/2 c. water, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Butter sides of heavy 2-quart pan.
Mix sugar, syrup, water and salt.
Add butter; cook over medium heat until it boils and sugar dissolves (stir constantly).
Attach candy thermometer. Cook to 248Β°, no stirring.
Remove from heat.
Stir in extract and coloring.
Pour into buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
With buttered hands, roll into ball.
Return to pan.
When cold, wrap in plastic wrap.
Store up to 2 weeks at room temperature.
