Mix in large mixing bowl: mashed potatoes, sugar, salt and shortening.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk and add to other ingredients, then add flour and mix thoroughly (I use mixer with dough hook).
Let rise in bowl 10 minutes.
Turn out on floured board.
Roll out and cut like biscuits.
Put in greased pan.
Let rise 30 minutes.
Bake in preheated oven (400Β°) for 10 minutes until light brown.
Brush with butter.
