Potato-Cheese Bread

In small bowl, pour warm water, sugar and yeast.
Do not stir, but make sure each particle of yeast gets wet.
Wait 10 minutes until yeast is thick and foamy.
While waiting, in large bowl, mix milk, salt, egg, cheese, potatoes, 1 cup flour and shortening. Add yeast mixture and remaining flour, one cup at a time, until dough is easy to handle.
