Portuguese Soup
Portuguese Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. onion, chopped, 6 cloves garlic, chopped or garlic powder, 10 c. beef stock, 1 head green cabbage, cored and chopped into medium pieces and 1/4 to 1/2 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Saute onions and garlic in the oil; when the vegetables are just transparent, add sausage slices and brown lightly.
Add beef stock and all other ingredients.
Bring soup to a boil, stirring to keep the bottom of the pan from burning.
Reduce heat.
Allow to simmer for 35 to 45 minutes or longer if you like, stirring occasionally.
Correct seasonings to taste.
