Slice and prepare all ingredients as for stir-fry.
Place oil in wok or Dutch oven; heat to medium heat.
Add pork and onion; stir-fry 2 minutes.
Add soy sauce, beans, salt and 3/4 cup water. Cover wok or pot; cook for 6 minutes on medium high.
Lift cover several times to stir so all will be cooked thoroughly.
Add mushrooms; cook for 3 minutes, covered.
Stir twice.
Mix cornstarch in 1/2 cup water; add to other ingredients.
Simmer for a few minutes to thicken.
Shut off heat and serve.
