Pork Chops in Sauerkraut
Pork Chops In Sauerkraut is an easy dinner. Made with 8 lean rib or loin pork chops, 2 (1 lb.) cans applesauce, 2 large onions, minced and 1 can sauerkraut (1 lb. 14 oz.), drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Trim fat from chops.
Brown both sides lightly.
Remove. Brown onions in drippings.
Remove from heat and add applesauce. Mix well.
Spread well drained sauerkraut on bottom of a baking dish or electric frypan.
Put in chops, then applesauce mixture. Bake for 1 hour at 240° in frypan or 1 1/2 hours at 350° if in oven.
Serves 6 to 8.
