Pork Chop Onion Rice Bake
Pork Chop Onion Rice Bake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 pork chops (1 to 1 1/2-inch thick), 2 tbsp. oil or shortening, 1 c. uncooked rice, 1 envelope onion soup mix and 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Brown chops in oil.
Spread rice in bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Reserve 1 tablespoon seasonings from soup mix.
Sprinkle remaining seasonings and onion over rice.
Drain mushrooms reserving liquid.
Place mushrooms and pimento over rice.
Add hot water to reserved mushroom liquid to make 3 cups; pour over rice. Arrange browned chops on top of rice mixture.
Sprinkle chops with remaining seasonings.
Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350Β° until chops are tender, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Remove foil and continue cooking for 10 minutes longer until excess liquid evaporates.
