Polenta-Italian "Pasta" Dish
Polenta-Italian "Pasta" Dish is an easy dinner. Made with 6 c. water, dash of salt, 1/2 to 1 c. grated parmesan cheese, 2 c. yellow cornmeal and 1/3 c. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Melt butter.
Add water, cornmeal and salt.
Cook slowly on low for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring often with wooden spoon.
Stir in cheese and cook a few minutes more.
Serve with tomato or mushroom sauce or additional cheese and butter.
Goes well with sharp flavored on marinated vegetables.
Excellent leftovers; I like it cold, straight out of the refrigerator.
