Perfect Pie Crust
Perfect Pie Crust is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 1 3/4 c. shortening (room temperature) and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a large bowl, mix well with a fork, flour, sugar and salt; add shortening and mix with flour mixture until crumbly.
In a small bowl, beat egg, water and vinegar.
Add to flour mixture and stir until moistened.
Divide dough into 5 portions and shape into a flat circle.
Wrap each in waxed paper and chill 1/2 hour. Lightly flour both sides of pie patties.
Roll out on a lightly floured surface.
May be kept in refrigerator for 3 days.
