Pecan Glaze
Pecan Glaze is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 c. water and pecans, shelled and nut meats in perfect halves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, tartar and water; stir as mixture heats until sugar dissolves.
Wipe away any sugar crystals that may form on the side when dripped from a spoon.
Using a long, sharp pin, dip pecan halves, one at a time, into glaze and place on a buttered dish.
Work fast for glaze hardens rapidly. Dates, almonds, Brazil nuts, Malaga grapes, orange sections and even violets may be treated in this way.
