Peanut Butter Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. vegetable shortening, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening and butter or margarine together until light and fluffy.
Add sugar and cream until smooth.
Add egg and beat well.
In peanut butter and vanilla.
Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
Roll dough into balls
1 inch diameter.
On greased cookie sheets and flatten by pressing with tip of teaspoon.
Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.

4 dozen.
