Mix sugar, water, syrup and peanuts in black iron skillet. Cook until thick and nuts pop and mixture turns a golden brown. Add soda as you remove from heat and stir vigorously.

Pour into greased sheet pan, stirring and pouring very thin.

When cool, crack into pieces.
