Stir well sugar, water and white syrup all the time.

Cook to crack stage.

Then add peanuts and butter.

Stir well.

Cook until syrup becomes golden brown, a must.

Peanuts will smell roasted. Stir all the while.

Then remove from fire.

Quickly add vanilla. Stir quickly.

Add soda.

Stir well and quickly.

Have two cookie sheets buttered ahead of time.

Pour half of the mixture on one pan and the other half on the other pan.

Work quickly.

Do not spread mixture.

Let cool completely and break into pieces.
