Pasta Fagoli(Italian Soup) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cloves garlic, 1/4 c. olive oil, 2 (16 oz.) cans navy beans, pinch of parsley, basil, onion salt, salt and pepper and 1 lb. ditalini pasta, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Brown garlic in 2 tablespoons oil.
Add beans, remainder of the oil and all the seasonings.
Cook pasta as directed.
Drain almost half the water off the pasta.
Add other ingredients plus the crushed tomatoes.
Stir and heat 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes 4 quarts.
